Woman rushed to hospital after car overturns in Chester Road crash

The woman was found inside her car and treated for injuries

A woman was taken to hospital this morning after a car overturned in Birmingham.

Emergency services rushed to a two-car crash on Chester Road, near the Tyburn House island at Pype Hayes, just before 7.25am today, Friday, June 12.

The woman was found inside her car which had flipped over.

Ambulance staff treated her injuries, which were not believed to be serious, and she was taken to Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield.

A West Midlands Ambulance Spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a two-car collision on Chester Road at 7.24am.

"One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman.

"She was helped out of her car, which had overturned, by fire service colleagues.

"Ambulance staff then treated her for injuries not believed to be serious before taking her to Good Hope Hospital for further assessment."
