New look for popular Southmead pub as it reopens after takeover
There's a new face in charge behind the bar

The Union Arms in Southmead reopened its doors on the weekend following a huge £415,000 transformation and name change.
Formerly the Treble Chance until it closed its doors back in April, the pub is part of Proper Pubs - an award-winning community wet-led operator division of Admiral Taverns, which operates more than 200 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
The new face in charge behind the bar is Paul Roberts, who has worked in the hospitality sector for the past 10 years.
Of the pub's new look, Paul said: "I have loved seeing this incredible transformation come to life. Admiral's expertise has been incredibly helpful - they've truly understood what this pub needs to provide for the community and helped bring that to life with me.
"I'm so proud to be the one opening the doors to both new and familiar faces. The finished look is terrific, and I know customers are going to love it."
Inside, the pub has been completely transformed to include brand new flooring, fixtures and fittings, as well as five flat screen TVs with Sky and TNT Sports. Two new dart boards and a pool table sit in the games area for customers to enjoy, along with an updated bar and snug area.
Outside, The Union Arms has been installed with brand-new lighting, signage and a TV to greet customers, as well as a refurbished garden seating between 50-60 people.
Drinks promotions include 'Wine Wednesday', where customers can get £2 off a bottle of wine, and 'Fizz Friday' - where a bottle of fizz costs £10. Other deals involving cocktails, bottles and shots will also be available throughout the week.
