These are some of the most ridiculous, funny and brutal Google reviews of locations across the North East
Being unable to drive over the Millennium Bridge or enjoy a curry at the Stadium of Light are just some of the reasons people took to Google to give these North East locations a negative review.
The North East has plenty to offer visitors to the region, from historic castles, stunning countryside, and beautiful beaches. But while many fall in love with the area and leave glowing reviews on Google, some people can't resist a moan.
These are some of the most ridiculous, funny and brutal Google reviews of locations across the North East.

Millennium Bridge
"It's a bridge, wow, woopy doo", said one reviewer who visited the Millennium Bridge, while another said it "doesn't move much".
The pedestrian and cyclist bridge over the River Tyne is the world's first and only tilting bridge. But one reviewer was left unhappy because they were unable to drive over it.
They wrote: "Overhyped. Looks nice and does connect both sides of the river (standard "must do" for a bridge) but the setup means that you can't drive your car across which is a disappointment when you've driven all the way down there just to try. Better off approaching on foot or on your bike."
Another reviewer said: "Great for a distance photo but on the bridge was dark and the seats were filled with people who were a bit 'worse for wear' & bragging about the public places they've been to the toilet! (Middle of a field was the winner...) Not somewhere to take the kids after dark!"
St James' Park
St James' Park is known for its incredible atmosphere and being home to some of the most loyal football fans. When the Geordies enter the grounds the chants and cheers can be heard echoing through the city centre.
But apparently these reviewers didn't get the same experience when they paid St James' Park a visit. One reviewer wrote: "Very loud music before the teams come onto the pitch and some colourful flag waving but after that the home crowd was very quiet, great atmosphere is a myth. When they scored and at the end was the only time the home fans got behind their team. I have witnessed this on many previous occasions also."
Another added: "No atmosphere, grey and dull like the team. Seats far away from the pitch, fortunately I only visit once a season. Empty trophy room!!"
Stadium of Light
The Stadium of Light has been home to some incredible events in the last year, from SAFC matches and England Lionesses' UEFA Nations League game against Scotland, to hosting huge artists such as Beyonce and P!NK.
However, one reviewer still claimed that the "best part is the road out". Unfortunately, that also seemed difficult to navigate for one reviewer who described the traffic and crowds leaving the stadium on their visit as "awfully unorganised".
Although their biggest gripe was with the lack of food available to purchase inside the stadium. They wrote: "The worst thing was the catering. Inside the stadium it was a choice of vegan/normal sausage roll or hotdogs without onions or sauces (literally dry bread and a soggy frankfurter).
"Told it's the same at football matches. Our local ground has the above, plus various pies, chicken biryani, burgers and fries, crisps, chocolate etc. For a 40k capacity stadium with shows that go from 4pm to 11pm..... The food was woefully inadequate."
Kielder Forest
"All you can see to the left or right is the side of fir trees", said one reviewer who visited Kielder Forest. England's largest forest is a haven for wildlife and neighbours the biggest man-made lake in Northern Europe and is also part of an International Dark Sky Park.
Although this reviewer wasn't the only person left disappointed by what to view here. Another said: "Rubbish went on the forest drive. Only fit for off road vehicles. Disappointed nothing to see apart from parts falling off your car 12 miles of hell to be honest"
Meanwhile, one reviewer appreciated the scenes, but said they were unable to enjoy the stars due to being bitten. They said: "Just too many mosquitoes. Nice walks, lovely bit of country, but you'll be bitten to hell. No way you can sit out to enjoy the stars."
Newcastle International Airport
While the North East has plenty to offer, there's also the option to jet off to around the world from Newcastle International Airport for those who may be craving a warmer climate.
The city's airport has many flights departing each and has been praised by reviewers for its helpful staff, cleanliness, spacious building and "a nice selection of shops". But some people have also left reviews to say they were unimpressed by their visit, including one who was unhappy with the food outlets on site, writing: "All three restaurants have virtually the same food", adding: "Nothing fresh and healthy in any outlet."
One reviewer complained of having a "pounding headache" due to the noise in the airport. They added: "They have been nonstop testing fire alarms and announcements for over an hour now. On top of this two different sets of loud music."
Meanwhile, one reviewer rated the airport one star due to a lack of electricity sockets and the airport being "full of grown men wearing full football strips."
