Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd seen with wife as he takes time away for baby's arrival
The ITV soap star and his wife, Hanni Treweek, are awaiting the arrival of their first child together any day now
Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has been seen alongside his wife as they await the arrival of their first child together any day now.
The actor, who fans best know for playing the ITV soap's David Platt, and his wife, Hanni Treweek, announced in February, on Valentine's Day, that they are expecting their first child together, seven months after tying the knot at Manchester Cathedral in July.
Revealing their baby joy, Hanni posted a video to Instagram, in which the couple walked in the grounds of a country house, before Jack cradled and kissed her blossoming bump. She captioned the clip: "We’ve been keeping a secret…June 2026. Thank you so much to the dream team who made this so special for us."
The couple's impending arrival will mark the fourth time Jack has become a father. The soap star already has kids, Nyla Rae and Ruben, with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey, and son Greyson with his former partner, Sammy Milewski.
Last week, Hanni hinted that her due date was approaching as she celebrated her birthday. Taking to Instagram, she shared a gorgeous snap of herself in a long black dress that accentuated her baby bump. Alongside the post, she wrote: "All dressed up for afternoon tea. My last birthday before I can call myself a mama & we have two June babies [hearts and face holding back tears emojis]."
She later shared a snap of Jack, who has also debuted his shaven head for the first time after undergoing a third hair transplant, as he beamed in between their stands of food and glasses of fizz and said: "My gorgeous husband [heart eyes emojis]." Hanni also gushed as they posed for a photo together before they welcomed their first child: "Love you baby [face holding back tears emoji]."
Now, Hanni and Jack have been seen continuing their wait for their baby's arrival, after it was confirmed that soap star Jack will be stepping away from Corrie briefly for a "couple of weeks' paternity leave" but not taking a break from his role in the long-running show.
They were seen out enjoying the mild sunshine and warm temperatures in Manchester, with Hanni posting a selfie to her Instagram Story with the caption: "The daily walk [crying laughing face and pregnant woman emojis]."
It comes after the mum-to-be recently shared a post on social media teasing they are yet to know whether they are having a boy or a girl. She shared a video which showed two different baby bodysuits, one pink and one blue, with little booties to match. On the back of the pink, 'she's here' had been embroidered, while the blue had been embroidered with 'he's here'.
Alongside the post, Hanni wrote: "The most gorgeous rompers @stichebyamelia." She then added: "Cannot wait to see which one we'll need hehe [pink and blue heart emojis]," before tagging her husband in the post.
