Coronation Street fans figure out double relationship blow amid murder reveal
They think it'll happen once Theo Silverton's killer is revealed in a dramatic episode of the ITV soap
Coronation Street fans think two relationships could end up being no more once Theo Silverton's killer is revealed in a dramatic episode of the long-running show next week.
It was announced that his murderer is set to be unmasked in a matter of days, with the update coming weeks after the abuser was confirmed as the victim of a murder that was teased back in February, with Theo among the five possible victims.
At the time, viewers discoverd the Betsy Swain would be the one to find either Theo, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh or Maggie Driscoll on the night of her mum Lisa Swain's wedding to Carla Connor.
It was then, a week after the actual wedding took place on April 23, that Theo's lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy, and a 'whodunnit' has been underway ever since
It was then, earlier this week, that a new trailer gave viewers of the ITV soap a glimpse inside a dinner party with a difference, set to take place on the cobbles next week, when home truths are served, and the tea is most definitely spilt.
New spoilers revealed that the episode will start with a flashforward that will give viewers a glimpse inside Sarah Platt and Kit Green's flat, where the remnants of a dinner party with broken glass, a chair upended and blood splattered across the tablecloth.
By the end of the evening, viewers will learn who killed Theo, as a series of flashbacks revisit the fateful April night when his body was found. It comes after Corrie previously confirmed Todd Grimshaw, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass and Danielle Silverton as the six potential suspects.
But as well as Theo's killer being unveiled to the audience, some Corrie fans believe that the revelations set to come to light will also result in more changes for the lives of some in Weatherfield.
On Reddit, user SnooObjections6638 shared: "So, I think the two of them having an affair is too obvious. If they were having an affair, I think we would be seeing scenes of them being intimate. After tonight's episodes, when Todd says 'if it's what I think it is, Kit and Maria deserve to know, and you and Gary deserve to be happy.' I reckon Sarah and Gary are both unhappy in their current relationships and are confiding in each other. I think we are going to see splitsville for both Sarah and Kit AND Gary and Maria. It is hammered home even more by Kit's scene with Harry about not going to leave, and Kit's scene with Brody where he joked that Sarah might still knock him back."
StockholmGirl29 replied: "It's not an affair or unrequited love, although I think Gary and Sarah do love each other as friends. It's all to do with Theo's death. Gary killed him either deliberately or accidentally and Sarah saw the whole thing. She's covering up for him. The scene of Gary leaning over the scaffolding seals this premise for me." Grastuha added: "Is it not really obvious to everyone that Sarah and Gary’s behaviour is nothing to do with an affair and everything to do with Theo’s murder?"
