La Voix sends thanks to Graham Norton after Eurovision first
The drag queen represented the UK in the jury vote
La Voix took to her social media to thank Eurovision host Graham Norton after she was the spokesperson for the UK in the 2026 Grand Final.
It was announced on Friday (May 15) that drag queen La Voix has been selected as the United Kingdom’s very first Eurovision ‘spokesqueen'. La Voix, whose non-performer name is Chris Dennis, will deliver the UK’s National Jury’s results live from Salford.
La Voix made a big impression last year when she took part in the 23rd series of Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec. She was the first ever drag queen to compete on the main series of the BBC One dancing competition.
Sadly, La Voix picked up an injury and had to withdraw just before the iconic Blackpool edition of the show. She was one of three contestants whose exit occurred due to injury over the course of the 2025 series.
In a statement, the drag queen said: "I’m absolutely over the moon to be announcing the UK Jury scores at Eurovision 2026. It’s the one night where sequins are en masse, key changes are compulsory, and absolutely anything can happen – so naturally I feel right at home."
La Voix, whose real name is Christopher Dennis, quipped: "I’ll do my best to behave… but no promises!" As they prepared to attend the glitzy Grand Final.
The former Strictly star followed in the footsteps of the likes of AJ Odudu, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Dame Joanna Lumley and Catherine Tate.
As the drag queen was preparing to give the UK's jury vote, Graham Norton introduced a message from La Voix to herself in advance. He said: "A message from La Voix to La Voix, we'll be seeing La Voix on screen later. 'Look Dad I'm on Eurovision, I didn't invite you because I thought you'd steal the spotlight again'. Bye La Voix, look forward to your votes later!"
It was in the Grand Final where the UK finished in last place after receiving only one jury vote and zero from the public vote. Look Mum No Computer issued a statement following the results.
On his Instagram, he penned: "Bulgaria honestly deserved winner! Met a lot of amazing folk the most important thing is we all tried our hardest.
"Regardless of what is against us. Whatever it may be. Gotta keep trying your hardest regardless of the (sic) outcome!!!"
The post was accompanied by a video of Battle celebrating the single point he was awarded in the final by holding one finger in the air before leading a group of people in a chant of “UK”.
