Clarkson's Farm season 5 'much heavier and more emotional' than ever
Clarkson's Farm season 5 launches on Prime Video soon as Jeremy Clarkson's heart scare shapes a deeply personal new series.
Clarkson's Farm returns with series five on June 3, and the latest instalment promises to transport audiences through a tumultuous period as Jeremy Clarkson confronts an endless array of obstacles.
The new series, which features the comeback of beloved figures such as Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland, will witness Clarkson attempting to reduce stress at Diddly Squat following his serious heart scare.
Nevertheless, with ambitious proposals for The Farmer's Dog pub and being compelled to plunge into the realm of advanced agricultural technology, it proves far from straightforward.
Land agent and agricultural adviser Charlie Ireland discussed his standout moments from series five, revealing: "In this series, there were some genuinely strong moments, like going to London for the march. I do think objective argument and discussion are things that bring communities together.
"I'm also still very keen on Jeremy's idea of the cooperative supply through the pub. I think it's brilliant, and it's developed really well. I think, by the end, it all brings the farm together. It's quite a dramatic final stretch."
The programme's executive producer, Andy Wilman, acknowledged it represented Clarkson's most intimate series to date, with his medical difficulties featuring prominently.

He added: "Entertainment-wise, there's a lot to laugh at. Jeremy introduces a new breed of EasyCare sheep that he's absolutely convinced will behave, which, unsurprisingly, causes chaos.
There's also the madness of him trying to open a Santa's grotto at the pub, and the sheer joy of watching Kaleb go abroad for the first time ever."
Yet as the series progresses, the tone shifts considerably, with the latter episodes becoming "much heavier".
He continued: "In the final episodes, it becomes much heavier and more emotional than anything we've seen before.
"In many ways it's the most personal series yet, not because Jeremy wants to make it about himself, but simply because of circumstance. When the series opens, he's sidelined with a heart problem, and that shapes everything that follows."
The first four episodes will drop on June 3, with the next batch of two arriving on June 10. The final two episodes will follow on June 17.
